Paris Holiday

New year’s eve in Paris?? Why not !
After Christmas time, Paris, the city of lovers, the best city in the world for many people, during last days of the year, gains more charm and suggestion as never. Streets are filled with people from all over the world, not only citizens but also many foreigners who choose the city searching for fun and romantic atmosphere.

Nowadays Paris is reached by low cost companies like Ryanair, Myair and Easyjet, just to make some examples. Otherwise you can choose the train or the bus, that booked on last minute, can be cheaper than flights. Travelling by night can be a good way to not loose time and be in the city, ready to discover it, just in the morning.

And then, What doing on last day of year? For the very last hours, the suggestion is to spend them on the streets, in the crowd of people hanging around. Particularly, exist two main to meet: the Champs-Elysees, where at midnight you can see the light show of lights of Tour Eiffel and then a lot of fireworks. Another important meeting point, maybe less famous, but not less charming, is that one in the Montmarte zone, in the square of Sacred Heart, where it will be for sure less people but anyway the fun cant miss, for all the clubs, cabaret and restaurant.

The importan thing is to organize the hotel or apartment’s return, to not risk to be stuck in the caotic crowd, searching for a metro or bus’ lift.

For who doesn’t want to miss the cultural heritage, it is of course worthwhile a visit to unfailing monuments and museums: Tour Eiffel, Arc de Triumf, Notre Dame, the Pompidou centre and of course the museum of Louvre. It can be interesting to visit this one on the very first day of the year, in which there is not so much people, that probably suffers the last night’s parties.

Then, a “promenade” along the Senna, or also navigate it on the famous boat “Bateaux” (and maybe eating in the restaurant on board), is a good way to get out from the crowd of the city and enjoy the beautiful view of the city in the night from another perspective.
Before getting back home, is recommended a jump at Lafayette Galerie for a souvenir or the last purchase. The commercial centre is so big that its so easy to get lost.

Make sure to book your accommodation (Alloggi Parigi) in advance so that you can find that perfect hotel (Hotel a Parigi) or apartment (Appartamento Parigi).

Caribbbean Cruise Costs - Hidden Costs Of Carribbean Cruises

The Caribbean is one of the first destinations people look to for their dream cruise vacation and it’s a perfect choice for just about any occasion whether it be a honeymoon, family holiday or just hanging out with friends.

One of the drawbacks for many is Caribbbean cruise costs and while cruise costs in general are way down on what they used to be, if you can save money without looking cheap then we say why not. Cruise holidays range in length from a few days to a couple of weeks and the tips presented here can be applied to any cruise destination.

Cutting Carribbean cruise costs can simply relate to avoiding some of the services presented to customers on board which you really don’t need. In fact, always look at whether they are cheaper elsewhere and most times they are. Here’s a short list of things to watch out for.

Saving On Carribean Cruise Costs

- To begin with, you should start of by first searching for cruises that take place in the Off Season. In addition, you will also need to decide on a destination and because prices during Off Season are very low you will not encounter any big difficulties in finding some very sweet deals.

- Another option worth checking out in regard to cheap Caribbean Cruises is to look for relocation cruises which are cruises that go to places that are most in demand by travelers. In such deals it is quite common for a cruise intended for Hawaii to go to the Caribbean because of more demand for the Caribbean.

- Most cruise lines will also charge low in order to entice more customers and in the case of a cruise line offering a trip aboard its latest cruise liner the prices too will often be slashed in order to induce customers to come aboard their ship.

- For those people that are employed by the Army, trying their base Tickets and Tours agencies is a good option because then it becomes possible to get low fares as well as a chance to make payments in installments (interest free). Another good way of finding a cheap Caribbean Cruise deal is to check out the big cruise operators that generally have lower prices and a good example of big holiday travel companies is Travelocity that provide travelers with best prices.

- Lastly, you could avoid Caribbbean cruise costs by taking advantage of early and late booking for low price deals. One last tip in regard to Caribbean Cruise and cheap rates is to consider getting employment aboard a Caribbean Cruise line; especially, Royal Caribbean and Carnival cruise lines that are the two biggest as well as most popular cruise lines operating in the world today.

Rome Fun

Many people think that Rome is a unique city and that Roman people are incredible. Incredible people that you can only love because of one characteristic that always arouses great sympathy for them: their dialect. With a funny accent and vocabulary mildly sounding Italian, the Romanesco language causes many giggles amongst Italian speaking tourists.

This dialect is one of the most popular dialects in Italy, made famous by various films. Here’s a quick historical overview: the so called “Romanesco” dialect, known to most by this word (some use the word “romano”), has experienced a rapid spread between the 1920s and 1930s, a moment when the heavy migration flux brought the population of native Romans to be numerically smaller than the immigrants. A few years later, in the 50s and 60s, a similar phenomenon occured, because of migration flows from the central and southern part of the country. The ’70s and ’80s led, instead, a profound change to the dialect, impoverished because of social twisting in the popular neighbourhoods (Trastevere, San Lorenzo, Testaccio), where the dialect was spoken fluently and whose version is part of the real heart of Rome. So, in those years, ‘Romanesco’ began to be in decline. But there is also another cause of “death” of the dialect in the capital: the cinema movement called “neorealism” (from 1950), in whose films always displayed the presence of “Romanesco speakers”, conveyed the message of the Romanesco language being a poor language of peasant and low education.

Today, the Roman dialect is spoken fluently by the inhabitants of Rome and its surroundings, especially in informal situations. Today the closest version to the “original” is the version spoken in the city. Just a little bit far form the capital and it changes and another dialect is spoken, the “laziale”.

So what would Rome be without Romanesco? This is a language that even some foreign tourists on holiday (staying in one of the available apartments (appartamenti a Roma)) can recognize. A holiday in the city is also reminded in these “social” aspects, in the behaviour and habits of people who populate the capital. In order to find the ideal accommodation, have a look for a nice hotel (Roma hotel) or apartment (appartamenti a Roma).

And to finish, here are some examples of typical Romanesco phrases (without “translation”…you have to go to Rome to understand the meaning): “m’ha sgamato”, “‘na cifra”, “famo er vento”, “s´è apparecchiato pe´ ttera”, “buzzicona”…

Berlin Events

Having more than 15.000 members, the Hertha BSC is one of the biggest sporting clubs in Berlin and even though it has more sectors, the club is mostly known for its football.

The Hertha BSC was founded on the 25th July 1892 as BFC Hertha 1892. After it merged with the Berliner Sport Club (BSC) in 1923 they got the name they are known for today.
Therefore, the history of the club goes back for more than 116 years.

The colours of the club are blue and white and their home matches take place at the Berliner Olympiastadion which has enough space for 74.500 people. You can visit the stadium every day except on days where events take place of course. If you participate in a 90-minute tour through the stadium you have the chance to see the changing rooms and the VIP-area. You can find the stadium at Hanns-Braun-Straße Friesenhaus and you can easily get there by all of the public transport.

Beside football, the Hertha BSC also has sectors for bowling, boxing and ping-pong.
The most famous players of the club might be the captain Arne Friedrich as well as Kaká from Brazil. The coach is Lucien Favre from Switzerland.

Everyone can become a member of the club and therefore become a ‘Herthaner’. Just sign in on the homepage. You have to pay a small amount of money per month which is used for sponsorships. You will get a lot of discounts and other advantages. For example, you get 10% off on tickets and a special advantages for getting a seasonal ticket. Furthermore, you will get a discount of 10% for all fan goods and you will get all important news about the club.
Some well known people like Guildo Horn, Dirk Nowitzki and Barbara Schöneberger are already members. If you want to see the dates of training or matches you should take a look at their homepage.

Since the Olympiastadion is one of the most important sights in Berlin anyway, you should take the chance and watch a Hertha BSC match if you are visiting the city. Inform yourself about the accommodation (Unterkünfte Berlin) options so theat you can start your journey without any worries. If you travel in a group, an apartment (Ferienwohnung Berlin) is a very good idea. There you can all sit together in one room, something you can’t do in a Hotel Berlin that easily. It’s much better than separating your group and an apartment is also cheaper than a hotel.

All Air Travel Rules

Have you flown within the last year? How about within the last month? Even if you have, there is there is a good chance that things have changed since the last time that you were at the airport. While you may be thinking about the airport layout, it is actually the air travel rules that have likely changed. As more security issues arise, often on a daily or weekly basis, the airlines decide to enforce new travel rules. In the event that these new enforcements do go into effect, do you know how to go about finding what they are?

All Air Travel Rules
Before you can learn to famialrize yourself with new air travel rules, if there are any, you will want to understand the benefits of learning those rules. Unfortunately, too many travelers are worried about having the proper forms of identification that they dont always worry about the items that they pack. If you are one of those individuals, there is a good chance that you may, unintentionally, pack items that are prohibited past airport security checkpoints. Depending on the prohibited item, you may be required to make additional accommodations, discard of the item, or turn it over to airport security.

In addition to prohibited items, there are also new air travel rules that apply to security screening procedures. For instance, all air travelers are now required to remove their shoes. Your shoes will be scanned along with the rest of your carryon luggage. While this may pose an inconvenience, it is a requirement. Failing to comply with this requirement, as well as others, may lead to you being detained by airport security or local authorities. In addition to missing your flight, you may even face prosecution for your actions. However, this can all be prevented by knowing and understanding the new air travel rules, as well as the old ones.

Travel Rules
Perhaps, the best way to famialrize yourself with air travel rules is to go directly to the source. That source is the organization that makes and essentially enforces those rules, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). You can obtain valuable information from the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), including information on air travel rules, by directly contacting them or by visiting their online website. That online website can be found at www.tsa.gov. You are advised to fully examine this online website. You will find that it has a large amount of information that you need to know.

In addition to using the internet to examine the online website of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), you can also use it to perform a standard internet search. By searching with the words new air travel rules, you should be provided with a number of different results. Those results are likely to include websites or news reports with information on air travel, including the rules that are enforced aboard all airplanes or in all airports. When doing this, it is important to keep your source of information in mind. A large number of websites with inaccurate, misleading, outdated information can be found online. A Broken Heart Is A Good Excuse To Travel

Broken Hearted? See the World and Forget Him

If traveling alone does not appeal to you because you don’t have someone to carry your leather fanny pack1% or rub your back, you are one of thosepeople who rely on someone to make their day. You cannot picture yourself alone watching the fiery orange ball dip into the rim of the Caribbean blue. There must be a sucker there to share that moment with you. Nineteenth century philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer is accurate when he says that “He who does not enjoy solitude will not love freedom.”

Sure, you love your freedom. So you throw away the [spin[remains|vestiges[/spin] of a soured love - silly love letters, that leather fanny pack3% and leather fanny pack2% lighters you dropped on him last Christmas. You are ready to prove that there is still life after a nasty break up.

The next step is choosing your target destination. It is understandable that you don’t want romantic coves and beaches. Not now. You want a place that is excitingly busy. The best and safe places for a woman to holiday are Ireland, Amsterdam, India, Iceland, Vietnam, and Costa Rica where the locals speak English. If you [spin]want|desire[/pin] to live like an heiress, Costa Rica, Vietnam, and India are the places to be on a shoestring budget.

Guidelines for Women Traveling Solo

* The best time to travel is off season when air fares and hotel rates are lowest. For rock bottom deals, call the hotel for cut rates. They will gladly accede to your request because business at this time is slow. many hotels are providing women-friendly accommodations and you will have everything you need to primp up - irons, hair blowers, even curlers if you want them.

* Leave your jewelry behind, but pack more jeans and a pair of comfortable shoes. You can get more items later at a fraction of a cost - silk scarves in Vietnam, colorful wooden bowls and seed bracelets in Costa Rica, and silk cloths and metal craft in India. It is astonishing, the money you save shopping in these places. You will literally shop ’til you drop.

* In Ireland, drink beer in the pub without becoming a target for lecherous men. Women pub patrons especially tourists are left alone to their pleasures, or are treated with warm hospitality. However, it is better to find company for a night out at the bar, another woman traveling alone or a group of tourists to keep you company.

* Do research on the country you are visiting. This can help you get the right focus. When you get there, you will know what to expect, what to wear, and how to deal with local tradesmen.

With all the arrangement and the excitement at the prospect of traveling alone, you might overlook you still have to get rid of your ex’s Swiss pocket watches which you forgot to dispose earlier. Hawk them for some extra money[/spin. Now who wants to argue you won’t like traveling alone because of a broken heart?
